Celebrating “Šiauliai Days” and the city’s birthday, Photography Museum and Šiauliai Film Art Club invite you to a film screening!
There will be three film sessions taking place on the 12th of September:
12:00 pm “Old Šiauliai Cinema” |Retrospective
2:00 pm “Old Šiauliai Cinema” | Retrospective
4:00 pm “Old Šiauliai Cinema” | Retrospective
It’s 90 min. long presentation of a film excerpts and the collection of documentaries. The films depict the city of Šiauliai in various periods of history (from 1928 to the present day). The viewer will be taken to a spectacular journey through the time and will get to see the changes of the cityscapes as well as to experience the city’s daily life, holidays and hardships.
The films were collected from various sources – Lithuanian Film Studio, Lithuanian Central State Archive, Šiauliai Aušra Museum Archive, Šiauliai Film Art Club and Lithuanian Film Amateurs’ Union. The films will be presented by representatives of the Lithuanian Film Amateurs’ Union.
THE EVENT IS FREE.
Please note that photographs and footage will be taken throughout the event.
